About the YPA Award

The METASOFT Young Professional Award (YPA) aims to encourage early-career scholars, PhD candidates, and post-doctoral researchers. It acknowledges pioneering work in Metaheuristics, Smart Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Advanced Computing Technologies.

Eligibility & Conditions

Candidates applying for the Young Professional Award must fulfill the following mandatory prerequisites at the time of submission:

  • Age Limit: The primary author/presenter must be under 35 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
  • Accepted Paper: The candidate must be the first author of a full research paper accepted for METASOFT 2026.
  • Author Registration: The applicant must complete author registration and present the paper during the scheduled technical track.
  • Original Contribution: The submitted manuscript must demonstrate high technical novelty, methodological rigor, and low similarity index (<15%).

Evaluation Procedure

All eligible submissions undergo a multi-tier review process evaluated by an international panel of chairs:

Peer Review Scoring

Initial screening based on blind peer-review scores, algorithmic complexity, and referee recommendations.

Special YPA Session

Shortlisted candidates deliver a presentation before the YPA Award Jury during a dedicated conference session.

Final Jury Decision

Assessment based on presentation clarity, technical depth, question handling, and domain contribution.

Application Process

Eligible authors can apply during regular paper submission or submit their nomination dossier to the award committee following paper acceptance:

  • Select the "Consider for Young Professional Award" checkbox in the CMT submission portal.
  • Attach proof of age (Passport / Government Identity Card) along with your camera-ready manuscript.
  • Include a short bio (max 250 words) emphasizing key research contributions.
